The American deathcore band hails from Knoxville, Tennessee. The band consists of vocalist Phil Bozeman, guitarists Ben Savage, Alex Wade and Zach Householder, bassist Gabe Crisp and drummer Ben Harclerode. Founded in the year 2006, the name of the band has been derived from a district known as ‘Whitechapel’ which is built up in the inner city of London. The debut full length album of the band titled ‘The Somatic Defilement’ was released in the year 2007. Their follow up album titled ‘This is Exile’ came out in 2008. The latest album of the band ‘A New Era of Corruption’ was released in the year 2010 and became commercially very successful all across the globe. The album sold around 10,600 copies in US alone in its first week of release. The album also charted on #43 on Billboard 200. Whitechapel has released three studio albums and five music videos. The band is currently signed to Metal Blade Records.
