The band is also known for donning exaggerated personas on-stage that parody the glam metal music and lifestyle of the 80s. Steel Panther was formed in the year 2000 and were originally known as Metal Shop which was later changed to Metal Skool. They were also later called as ‘Danger Kitty’ under which they released their promotional single ‘Love Rocket’ in the year 2002. Their debut album as Metal shop titled ‘Hole Patrol’ was released in the year 2003. Although the album didn’t chart, the band earned a following with the help of their unique musical style. Their album ‘Feel the Steel’ was released in the year 2009 which peaked at #98 on Billboard 200. Their latest release ‘Balls Out’ was released in the year 2011 under Universal Records. It peaked at #40 on the Billboard 200.
