The American punk rock band was formed in the year 1984 in Huntington Beach, California. The band is known for popularizing mainstream interest and reviving punk rock in US in the 1990s. Originally the band was called ‘Manic Subsidal’. The band’s current members include lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Dexter Holland, lead guitarist Noodles, drummer Pete Parada and bassist Greg K. Parada replaced the band’s previous drummer Adam Willard in the year 2007 and has been constantly performing for the band ever since. The band came up with their eponymous debut album in the year 1989 which earned them a huge fan following. Their second album ‘Ignition’ released in the year 1992 also became very famous. The Offspring’s latest album ‘Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace’ was released in the year 2008. The single ‘You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid’ of the album reached number one on the Hot Modern Rock Tracks and stayed for 11 weeks.
