The Australian drum and bass/rock band was formed in the year 2002. Pendulum saw its origin in Perth, Australia and was formed by vocalist and keyboardist Rob Swire, bass guitarist, backing vocalist and DJ Gareth McGrillen and DJ Paul Harding. Swire and McGrillen earlier played for the band named ‘Xygen’. Both of them went on to form Pendulum after they met Harding who was a veteran DJ in the drum and bass scene. The band relocated to UK in the year 2003. The band released their debut album titled ‘Hold Your Colour’ in the year 2005. The album was noteworthy for the incorporation of drum and bass genre. The album went on to become one of the most popular drum and bass albums that has ever been sold. UK saw the album selling around 225,000 copies. The album peaked at #29 in the year 2008. 2008 saw the release of ‘In Silico’ while the year 2010 saw the release of ‘Immersion’ and both of them became very popular.
