The English singer and songwriter, was born on 25 May 1958. Paul spent six years performing for the band ‘The Jam’ after which he chose a much soulful style by performing for ‘The Style Council’. It was in the year 1991, when Paul decided to once again walk on the path of music as a solo artist. Paul is today a much respected singer, guitarist and lyricist. The first band of Paul was ‘The Jam’. As a member of ‘The Jam’, Paul came out with the band’s first single titled ‘Going Underground’ in the year 1980. The band’s two singles namely ‘That’s Entertainment’ and ‘Just Who Is The 5 O’Clock Hero’ went on to reach no.21 and no.8 position respectively on the UK Singles Chart. The year 1982 saw the disbanding of ‘The Jam’ after which Paul went on to form ‘The Style Council’ with keyboardist Mick Talbot. His solo career saw his eponymous album released in 1992 which earned him worldwide critical acclaim.
