A tour titled ‘The Black Parade World Tour’ followed in the year 2007 which earned the band worldwide fan base and recognition. The band earned many international music awards and to date has received 22 awards and 82 nominations including 5 Music Video Production Association Awards and 5 Kerrang! Awards. The name of the band is inspired from the book ‘Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance’ by Irvine Welsh and was suggested by bass guitarist Mikey Way. The band’s debut album titled ‘I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love’ was released in 2002.
