The English band hails from Teignmouth, Devon and was formed in the year 1994. The band comprises of school mates lead vocalist, lead guitarist, pianist and keyboardist Matthew Bellamy, bassist, vocalist, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Christopher Wolstenholme and drummer, percussionist, synthesizerist and sampler Dominic Howard. The band is most famous for their agile, extravagant and strenuous live gigs. The band is also known for incorporating space rock, progressive rock, alternative rock, heavy metal, classical music and electronica. So far, the band has released five studio albums and three live albums. Their album ‘Black Holes’ and ‘Revelations’ won them a Mercury Prize nomination and a third place finish on the list of NME Albums of the Year list for 2006. The band has also won several music awards throughout their career which includes MTV Europe Music, Q music, NME, Brit MTV Video Music, American Music and Kerrang! Awards. Muse is working on their sixth studio album currently which the members are going to release in October 2012.
