Motley Crue is an American heavy metal band which was founded by bass guitarist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee. The band was soon joined by lead guitarist Mick Mars and lead singer Vince Neil. The band has so far sold more than 80 million album copies worldwide. Formed in the year 1981 in Los Angeles, California the band came with their first release which was a single titled ‘Stick to Your Guns/Toast of the Town’. The same year saw their debut album titled ‘Too Fast for Love’ which sold 20,000 copies. The hedonistic lifestyle of the members of the band is known to every one. They have spent time in prison, have been addicted to drugs like cocaine and heroin, have suffered from excessive alcoholism, are heavily tattooed and had several escapades with women and frequent brushes with the law. The ninth studio album of the band ‘Saints of Los Angeles’ was released in the year 2008.
