Led Zeppelin is definitely one of the most famous bands in the whole world. The band is still considered as one of the most innovative, influential and successful bands of all time. The band saw its active and golden years from 1968 to 1980. Originally the English rock band was formed as ‘New Yardbirds’ in the year 1968. The band consisted of guitarist Jimmy Page, vocalist Robert Plant, bassist and keyboardist John Paul Jones and drummer John Bonham. The band released several tracks as New Yardbirds after which they changed their name to ‘Led Zeppelin’ and signed a contract with Atlantic Records in 1968. The band went on to release several eponymous albums one after the other. 1969 saw the release of ‘Led Zeppelin I’ and ‘Led Zeppelin II’ while 1970 and 1971 saw the release of ‘Led Zeppelin III’ and ‘Led Zeppelin IV’ respectively. The band has won several awards throughout their career including American Music Award, Polar Music Award, Ivor Novello Award. They have also been inducted to Grammy Hall of Fame.
