The successful American rock band was formed in the year 2001 in Wilmette, Illinois. The members of the band are vocalist/guitarist/composer Patrick Stump, bassist/lyricist Pete Wentz, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley.

The band began their career nameless. At the end of their second show they asked for name suggestions from the audience. One of the members suggested ‘Fallout Boy’ which was a reference to the sidekick of Radioactive Man from ‘The Simpsons’. The band released their split EP with Project Rocket under a small label Uprising Records in 2002.

The band reached amazing success with the release of their major label debut album titled ‘From Under the Cork Tree’ which was released in the year 2005 through Island. The album debuted at #9 on Billboard 200. Ever since that the band has been unstoppable. The band has so far won 16 Awards which includes Kerrang!, MTV and Teen Choice Awards.

The band has gone into a hiatus following the release of ‘Folie a Deux’ in 2008.
