The British band combines post hardcore and several sub genres of heavy metal like metalcore and alternative metal with bits of electronic genre like electronica, trance, dubstep and drum and bass. The band is famous for incorporating such unique and amazing electronicore sound in their music.
Enter Shikari was formed in the year 2003 in St Albans, Hertfordshire. The name of the band has been inspired from a boat that belonged to the lead vocalist Rou’s uncle and a character from a play he wrote before the band was formed, both of which were named Shikari. The meaning of Shikari is ‘Hunter’.

The band’s debut album appeared in the year 2007 which was entitled ‘Take to the Skies’. The album was a huge hit and went on to reach the position of #4 on the UK Albums chart. Their second album debuted on #16 while the third and latest album constantly stayed at top for an entire week although later debuted on the chart at #4.

The band has also won Kerrang!, NME and BT Digital Awards so far.
