The British indie rock band was formed in the year 2002. The band is currently based in Birmingham although its origin was in Stafford, Staffordshire in UK. Originally the band was famous as ‘Pilot’, ‘The Pride’ and then later called as ‘Snowfield’. They changed their name to ‘Editors’ when they signed to Kitchenware Records.

The current members of the band include lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and pianist Tom Smith, lead guitarist Chris Urbanowicz, bass guitarist and backing vocalist Russell Leetch and drummer/percussionist Ed Lay.

The band boasts of releasing two platinum studio albums which have sold over million copies worldwide. The band has released three studio albums in total with ‘In This Light and on This Evening’ as their latest venture which was released in 2009.

Their debut album ‘The Back Room’ released in 2005, which contained hits like ‘Munich’ and ‘Blood’, received a Mercury Prize nomination. Their next album ‘An End has a Start’ as well as their follow-up album ‘In This Light and on This Evening’ reached #1 on the UK Albums Chart.
