The Scottish DJ, singer, songwriter and record producer was signed to EMI and Sony BMG in the year 2006 after his music was discovered through MySpace.

Calvin Harris came up with his first album titled ‘I Created Disco’ in the year 2007 which became a huge hit. The songs like ‘Acceptable in the 80s’ made it to the top ten on the UK Singles Chart and remained on the chart for around 15 weeks. Another single from the same album titled ‘The Girls’ too reached the UK Singles Chart and peaked at #3.

In 2009 Calvin came up with his second studio album titled ‘Ready for the Weekend’ which became immensely popular and commercially successful as well. The album reached #1 position in UK Album Chart. The album’s singles like ‘I’m Not Alone’ topped the singles chart while ‘Ready for the Weekend’ made it to the UK top five hits.

Calvin Harris also won ‘The Music Producers Guild Award’ and ‘NME Award’ in 2009.
