The British metalcore band is from Sheffield, Yorkshire and was formed in the year 2004. The band formation happened when all the founding members of the band who were earlier a part of several defunct bands were noticed by the record label named ‘Thirty Days of Night Records’.

The name of the band has been inspired from Captain Jack Sparrow’s lines from Pirates of the Caribbean – The Curse of the Black Pearl which went something like this: “Now, Bring me that horizon”.

Since the band was formed under the record label ‘Thirty Days of Night Records’, they came up with their first demo album titled ‘Bedroom Sessions’. Their first EP was released in the year 2004 titled ‘This Is What the Edge of Your Seat Was Made For’. The EP was re-released in the year 2005 under Visible Noise which brought them in the limelight. Their EP peaked at #41 on UK album charts.

The band has also won two Kerrang awards hitherto.
