The American deathcore band was formed in the year 2003. Born of Osiris has seen several name changes throughout their music career. Originally the band was called ‘Diminished’ which lasted a year. Soon ‘Your Heart Engraved’ followed which was kept for two years. They also changed their name to ‘Rosecrance’ in 2006 before settling with ‘Born of Osiris’ in the year 2007. The current name of the band, Born of Osiris, has been inspired from the Egyptian deity ‘Osiris’.

Born of Osiris is currently signed to Sumerian Records and have released two full length albums and an EP under the record label. An eponymous EP released in 2006 under the name Rosecrance was also released under Sumerian Records. The band has released four demos so far.

The debut album of the band titled ‘A Higher Place’ was released in the year 2009 which peaked at #73 on Billboard 200. Their second album ‘The Discovery’ released in 2011 debuted at #87 on Billboard.
