The American rock band, Black Veil Brides, was founded in the year 2006. Originally the band was simply called ‘Brides’ and consisted of members like lead vocalist Andy Biersack, guitarist Johnny Herold and bassist Phil Cenedella. They earned a huge fan base with the help of their song ‘Knives and Pens’. The music video of the band has gained more than 38 million views on Youtube.

The band signed with the independent label ‘StandBy Records’ under their new name ‘Black Veil Brides’ in the year 2009. A US tour titled ‘On Leather Wings’ soon followed.

Black Veil Brides’ debut album entitled ‘We Stitch These Wounds’ was released in the year 2010. The album sold over 10,000 copies in its first week. The album also ranked at #36 on Billboard 200 and #1 on Billboard Independent chart. Their Lava release ‘Set the World on Fire’ peaked at #17 on Billboard 200. Black Veil Brides has received 4 awards so far in the year 2011.
