The Canadian death metal band saw its origin in Montreal, Quebec. Beneath the Massacre was formed in the year 2004. The band originally consisted of members like vocalist Elliot Desgagnes, guitarist Christopher Bradley, drummer Justin Rousselle and bassist Dennis Bradley.

Beneath the Massacre released their first venture, an EP titled ‘Evidence of Inequity’ through Galy Records in the year 2005. The year 2006 saw the band signing a record deal with ‘Prosthetic Records’. Several tours followed which helped the band to increase their fan base. The band went on to release three albums.

The debut full length album of the band titled ‘Mechanics of Dysfunction’ was released in the year 2007. The band came up with their third album titled ‘Incongruous’ which was recently released on February 12, 2012.

Beneath The Massacre is also known for incorporating elements of hardcore punk in their music. The band is also famous for touring excessively and for performing live gigs.
